Summary Of Role - Expectations
Our trusted pet care specialist will care for our clients home & pet(s) while the owner is either on vacation or long work days. They must have excellent communication and time management skills. Also the ability to carry out entry level administrative duties. Not to mention, being an animal lover with patience. This part-time position starting at $17/hr is primarily in Kendall, but not limited to its surrounding areas. More opportunities arising as Bronxy's is expanding!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Caring for, feeding, walking, and playing with pets ensuring their routine remains uninterrupted while owners are away.
- Administer medication if necessary
- Light house duties, such as: retrieving mail, alternating lights
and blinds, trash & bins removal, watering plants, clean up
after pet etc.
- Handling a variety of pets of all sizes. Mainly dogs & cats.
- Representing Bronxy's by handing out flyers.
- Calendar organization and scheduling.
- Sending reports to our clients after each visit with images.
- Assisting the owner with entry level admin duties such as:
clerical, filing, printing, calling clients etc.
- Promote the health and safety of our clients pets.
Qualifications & Skills
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Active listening and problem solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk roughly 20-45 min couple times a day in all types of weather
(hot/cold/rainy)
- Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish.
- Passion and experience caring for pets.
- Reliable transportation with a valid drivers license.
- Strong intuition and patience when handling pets.
- Authorized to work in the US and able to pass a background check.
- Have a mobile smartphone with data.
- Available part-time hours in the early mornings, evenings, and/or
weekends.
- Flexible hours and able to commit to most holidays.
- Able to commit to a minimum of 9 months with Bronxy's.
- Positive outlook and able to develop relationships with our clients and
their pets.
